About Me
My love for training started when I was just a kid with my family dog. I didn’t know anything about behavior science back then—I just wanted to teach some tricks. But that simple curiosity sparked something in me, and I’ve been passionate about animal training ever since. Over the years, I’ve grown from teaching fun basics to developing a career dedicated to helping pets and their families understand one another on a deeper level.
My approach to training is positive-based for foundational skills and tricks, because it’s the most effective and fun way for animals to learn. When it comes to behavior challenges, I tailor each plan to what works best for the animal and their owner—because every pet is unique, and success looks different for everyone. While dogs will always be a part of my work, my main focus is cat training. Cats are often overlooked in the training world, and I want to show people that they can learn, bond, and thrive through training just like dogs. That passion also inspired me to create ESA (Emotional Support Animal) training programs for cats and dogs, since I believe these companions deserve the chance to help their people in meaningful, practical ways.
I’m currently working toward my Animal Behavior Certification through the University of Washington so I can better support animals with more complex needs. At home, I share my life with four cats, each with their own quirks and challenges, and they’ve taught me firsthand just how important it is to have the right tools, knowledge, and patience. My long-term goal with Animal Insight Training is to expand beyond myself, eventually training and hiring others so that more families can enjoy the connection, fun, and confidence that comes from truly understanding their pets.
